Henna is a plant based colorant derived from the lawsonia plant. This Heartwood Henna tone is intended to stain gray hair or  brown hair. Always perform a strand test and an allergy test before applying any new shade to your entire head. The result of this shade may range from bright orange, to bright red to hints or red, depending on your own individual chemistry. If your strand test shows hints of undesirable red, consider mixing this shade with equal or partial parts Teakwood henna or Ironwood henna to balance the tone.
